Privacy Policy
Effective August 29, 2026
CovetIQ provides independent luxury-shopping guidance. This policy explains the limited information we collect when you use covetiq.com.
Information we collect
CovetIQ does not require an account in this version. We record product-usage events such as starting the finder, selecting a budget or goal, viewing a recommendation, comparing products, clicking a merchant link, and submitting a Face-Off vote. These records can include a randomly generated browser session identifier, the selected product or option, referring page, timestamp, and standard technical request information processed by Cloudflare.
How we use information
- Operate and improve recommendations and comparisons.
- Measure which features and products are useful.
- Build aggregated perception data from Face-Off votes.
- Maintain security, reliability, and prevent abuse.
Storage and providers
Event and vote data are stored in Cloudflare D1 and processed through Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare may process network and security data under its own terms. We do not currently sell personal information or use account-level profiling.
Browser storage
CovetIQ stores a random session identifier in your browser’s local storage so interactions can be understood as one visit. It is not designed to identify you by name. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.
Merchant links
When you follow an external merchant link, that merchant receives your request and applies its own privacy policy. CovetIQ records the outbound click before redirecting you.
Retention and choices
We retain aggregated product analytics as needed to improve the service and may delete or anonymize older event records. Browser controls can block or clear local storage. Because V1 does not collect account details, we may be unable to associate an anonymous session with a specific person.
Children
CovetIQ is intended for adults making shopping decisions and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product, merchant relationships, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.
